Yet you start a thread calling Ainge a loser, after we just lost to Bama, in a game that where our QB play had little to do with the loss.
I am not saying Ainge is the reason we lost yesterday......all I am saying is he doesn't really do anything for us to win.....yeah, you can blame it on play calling.......but just remember the play calling depends on what your OC has confidence in!! I don't think Cut trusts Ainge and the deep ball.......the INT yesterday was OK, he was trying to make a play, he was giving effort......what I dont like is how he blows up after a turnover and just lays down.....our whole team does that and if that is a reflection of our coaching....then we have to reevaluate what our true goals are for our football program!! WOW, I just said that?
QB play was a significant contributor to the time of possession differential
ainge is a good qb, what do you want him to do? he's playing with young recievers. he threw a perfect pass to moore down the sideline and moore got it knocked away. ainge is not heath, he's not a scrambling qb, plus i wouldnt want him to run and take a chance on getting hurt. you say he doesn't show any emotion, did you ever see peyton show a lot of emotion? if i was ainge the emotion i'd show would be disgust. do you want ainge to go out and play defense and special teams as well? it didn't really help that the D couldn't stop bama. you've lost your mind, but most of your posts i don't agree with anyways
uh.....he was 12 for his first 14 and we were leading. I would say the descent to 63% for the remainder of the game absolutely killed us. We never sustained a drive. I'm not laying this at his feet, but he was very inaccurate today, relative what I expect from him.No it wasn't. Ainge completed 63% of his passes; not very good for him, but should have been good enough to win that ballgame.
We killed a few offensive drives with our penalties, putting us in a hole. Plus there were a few of Bama's drives where they converted several 3rd downs in a row. That is what caused the differential, not Ainge's play.

LOL.....you said it for me......You don't want Ainge to get hurt, Ainge doesn't want to get hurt and you can tell by the way he plays.......Have you ever played football?? I have.....and I know if you play in fear of injury, you will never give 100%
yes i've played fball thru highschool and played basketball thru college. trust me i know about injuries i've had 4 knee surgeries. first coming back from a surgery i wouldn't go all out due to messing it up. but after a few days i would be back to normal and go as hard as i could.
I know I am gonna get it for this BUT it doesn't matter who is coaching, if you don't have a QB that has fire and emotion you're always gonna be "mediocre"!! Ainge showed no intensity, no emotion and was very lackadaisical with 11 minutes left in the game....I agree he has great stats but he can't throw the deep ball!! I know alot of you are going to disagree with me......but he plays with no enthusiasm and is not a leader!!
i like your point but casey did bust michigan up in 01.1. The Clausen's were winners? Really? What did they ever win for us? Surely you cant give Casey credit for the '01 sec east with all those nfl players on the roster. And Rick Clausen shouldnt have even seen the field in '04 if not for Fulmer sacrificing Ainge in the ND game. And thats if we are considering winning the sec east once every four years as something to brag about.
Both Clausens lost a sec championship game, Casey couldnt win a bowl game and we saw what happened in '05 when Rick Clausen started.
They both were valued players, but I dont label them as "winners".
2. Ainge cant throw deep? He sure didnt have a problem last year or in '04 throwing deep. Its more like he doesnt have anyone to throw deep to, unless we're playing the Miss State secondary. None of our starting receivers would be starting at Lsu or UF. Nfl scouts have been saying that he has the arm strength to play professionally, but what do they know?
3. You're going to call out one of the most accurate passers in the sec? Seriously?
4. I dont see how it's Ainge's fault that our d-line cant put any pressure on the qb for the second year in a row, or that we have three new starters in the secondary, one who was playing wr at the start of the season while the other played qb last year in high school. The defense has the help the offense with things like field position and turnovers and our defense hasnt come close to doing that in our losses.
