Howdy VolNation, from a good Aggie who's rooting extra hard for the REAL UT (as we call yall, as opposed to those fakers from Austin) not only today, but for the entire CWS.

As my fellow Ags might say, I've got a little story for ya Vols...

About 2 weeks ago, on June 4th, my wife's BIL Dell "Bubba" Williams was a victim of a tragic motorcycle accident when a POS meth head stole a car at knifepoint, then drove it recklessly the wrong way down the Chapman highway here in Knoxville, eventually crashing into her brother, sending him flying well over 50 ft. in the air, and landing on his head. Long and sad story short, after a long-fight and 2 intensive brain surgeries, we ultimately just lost Bubba last Friday morning to these catastrophic brain injuries.

So why am I posting here? I assure you it's not to bring anyone down as you prepare to get your mind right for battle this afternoon...it's because of something that happened a few days prior.

My wife and I drove from DFW area to Knoxville after the accident to be with his daughter and other family while he was fighting for life in the hospital. Last Sunday night the 13th, after a particularly hard day, we returned to our hotel and were walking our dogs outside when a nice couple approached with their teenage daughter, all loaded up in Vols gear. They complimented us on our dogs and stopped to pet them, and I congratulated them on the W against L$U and for making Omaha.

I was wearing my Aggie polo so I also told the father that I loved their coach, and was hoping that we would have been able to get him before choosing Schloss (rumors were that we were pursuing hard before yall rightfully stepped up to keep Tony V. here). The father then laughed and said that would have been a huge blow to the program b/c his son really loves playing there.

So that's the short story of how I met the parents and sister of Vols starting CF, cleanup hitter, and overall bad arse Drew Gilbert. The family was just returning from celebrating the Super Sweep of LSU with their son, but they went out of their way to ask us why we were in town from TX (again, my Ag polo) and immediately after finding out what happened, they asked us if they could pray with us and spent a solid 10 minutes doing so. Dropping everything just for a few minutes on one of the best nights of their families lives only starts to speak of their character. My wife was really struggling with the loss of her brother, being away from home, as we had just had to make the awfully tough decision that night to take him off of life support, so the simple gesture by the Gilbert family was undoubtedly a God thing, and made a huge difference in our experience here in Knoxville (which has been very pleasant outside of the reason were here).

We then went downstairs the next day, to find that the Gilberts had left us tons of food, drinks, and laundry supplies to help with the extended stay. Just above and beyond and extremely Good Bull from a great family. They gained a huge fan that night and I have since posted this story over on TexAgs and asked all other good Ags to join me in rooting for the Vols and especially for Drew and the Gilbert's.

In summary, win or lose today, Im wearing Dell's Vols cap today and rooting hard for Drew and the Daddy's....now go and beat the hell outta t.u.!

That brought tears to my eyes. So sorry for your loss. Thank you for reminding us that there are truly good people in this world. GO VOLS!

I am so sorry for you loss . . . May the Peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, be with you.

I have the pleasure of working with several Aggie engineers in Houston, they are really good engineers but even better people.

I was in early on encouraging A & M to come to the SEC. I was on your TexAgs board when you first decided to stay in the B12. Then, the Longhorn network changed everything. I was there, again, encouraging you to fall in with us. The grass roots movement to join the SEC from your fans was totally amazing. Old Main (an Aggie) was on your board stirring the pot. I bought one of the SECEDE t-shirts to show support for you. I visit TexAgs every now and then and am on there as TennesseeVol. Thank you for joining the SEC. We're glad to have you. How in the world can anyone stand the arrogant Sips?

God Bless. I will be praying for the family.
