Hats off to former coach Fulmer. Although his stay was a bit prolonged I think everyone affiliated with UT owes him a debt of gratitude. Thanks coach.:hi:

The Phil Fulmer chapter in the history of UT Football was well written and will be read and admired for years to come. Especially, the treatment of players and coaches, and of interest to wannbe coaches....negotiating exit contracts.

He is a class act. One of the things that I admire the most about him was that he had the gonads to clean up Alabama's program and restore the reputation of the SEC.

The change in the program had nothing to do with the character of Phil Fulmer, but the state of the program and how we competed in this conference. I hate it for the man, but he and this program will both flourish in the future.

I think MH will be the legend and it will be his legacy we celebrate if he can restore the program that Fulmer ended up running into the ditch.

Coach Fulmer = CLASS ACT!

I wish him better than the best, and can't wait to find out who my 2nd favorite college football team is going to be! Hopefully not Miss St. haha.

Although I'm not a MH fan, this is not a slam on MH; but I doubt he will be remembered as a ledgend. I can't think of any past AD for any university that has gone down as a ledgend for a program as an AD. I can think of several coaches though.

Fulmer is already a ledgend, and his legendary status will only grow with time for UT fans. Kiffin may very well turn into a ledgend for UT as well, but not MH.

Fulmer will be remembered as a UT legend. But he was fired. That will always tarnish the legacy, no matter how you want to spin it.

Not really. Plenty of Hall of Fame coaches were fired - such as John Cooper, Dan Devine, Pat Dye, and Woody Hayes...and Fulmer wasn't fired nearly for the reasons that Dye and Hayes were...20 years from now, no one will remember Phil was fired.

Maybe with his $6 million cash buyout, fulmer can build a statue of himself outside the stadium.
