some thoughts on the game:

(1) I'm not sure I understand why we seem to get rattled and completely fold when the other team makes a second-half run. But it has to stop. You could just see the "deer in headlights" look on the Vols once Kentucky hit a couple of threes to push their lead to the 7-10 point range. It's like the switch was thrown: UT started forcing things, turning it over, taking bad shots, basically playing like freshmen, which, of course, many of them are.

(2) 5-10 from the line. Ugh. Not getting any better. Wouldn'tve mattered today, but I think the Georgia game is going to be close - within 5 points either way - and almost all close games ultimately come down to free throw shooting.

(3) Going into Rupp Arena with 3 freshmen in the starting lineup is brutal. Yeah, this isn't the 1996 Kentucky Wildcats by a long shot, but they play very good D, and Morris is a beast. Pearl has mentioned this team before: "man strong." Crews and Chism are still boys, talented though they may be - Morris is a man. That 2-3 years in age and overall strength makes a huge difference.

(4) JaJuan played his heart out, and my hat's off to him, but the guy who REALLY needed to show up today was Bradshaw.

(5) The Georgia game is a must-win. Period. And no small feat, at that.

the guys are young, what kind of irritated me is there were several times Ramar Smith would just leave his man and let him shoot a wide open 3. he plays no D. I'd also like us to see more than 2 or 3 plays on offense. we run the flex to much and get nothing out of it.
