So, tonight I have my first "first date" in over three years. Not sure I even remember the proper etiquette involved, much less anything else. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Yes, I understand I am opening to door to plenty of tomfoolery here. Like I said earlier, I am pretty freaking bored.

Compliment her on her shoes if she is dressed up. It shows you are paying attention. Women love shoes.

Try not to get caught up talking about yourself to much.

Dont show her your gun collection:).

She is definitely not a Gator fan...she avidly follows the Corn Huskers. However, that is certainly better than following the Tide, Gators, Misery Tigers, or Thundercats from K-State.

Believe me, if the date ends up back at my place...showing her my gun collection will be the last thing on my mind.

Just listen...that's what women really want. They love to talk. If you seem interested in waht she has to say, she just may end up back at your place....:)

Definitely not bring up past relationships. I have the feeling that would either lead to me having to completely lie to her or have to mention that I am a recent divorcee. I am not a fan of either of those approaches.

I am also going to have to make sure that I refrain from steering the conversation into the political sprectrum. I would say the reason for such is fairly obvious in my case.

I hope you pick her up and she is wearing a digital camo dress with combat boots.

The key is to make them laugh and feel comfortable around you. The rest falls in place. What kind of place are ya goin to eat?

Not sure if you have ever been to Houlihan's, but they do have these little mini-tinis that are definitely a hit with most women.

You order them in 3's, they are probably the size of half a regular martini glass. That way, the girls get to try like six different flavored martinis. Pretty solid.

While doing so flank her with a shot or two....solid plan for sure:)

got any pics of your date?
No. But, for s**ts and giggles, just imagine Yasmine Bleeth. Now, take the chest down a couple cups. Make the eyes a little bigger. And, make her 5'7".

Got a good image? Yeah, she looks nothing like that.
