Adobe shutting down licenses

A warning to folks. Adobe is starting to shut down old licenses after a new user agreement. This includes everything, from reader and acrobat to photoshop and the whole suite. May not be an issue for some with the basic free stuff.

We have had three in our office shut down this week and likely going to be more.

Dirty move imo. Forces you to spend huge amounts of money upgrading. And as far as our IT says there is no way to avoid the update. Not sure if it is going to be hitting personal accounts or just business licenses.

I couldnt find anything on the net about it.

At the same time they leave the door open to discounted services. I signed up using my high school daughters name and gmail at student rates. They checked to see that she was enrolled and that was it, all available services for $30.

You gots to get their subscription based suite now. Bastards.

Possibly related, Adobe no longer has the right to use some third party licenses that were incorporated into their products.
