According to VQ, TN reportedly has roster spot & NIL money for Joey A

Imagine comparing Joey to Hendon. Hendon was a much better passer and overall athlete. People want to tout him being the SEC passing yards leader yet more than half his passes were dump offs and screens that relied heavily on YAC. He's not the athlete nor has the true gamer instinct HH had. Not even close.

1. That's not the point. I was responding directly to the statement about Joey throwing picks in big games.

2. You are blatantly lying about how he got his yards. Joey pushed the ball downfield with more frequency than any QB under Heup, including Hooker. And he had a ton of success despite having arguably the worst RB room under Heup.

Why do people seem to think GMac would want to leave if Joey comes back? He never even hinted at jumping in the portal while it was open and we were trying to land Leavitt.

Why wouldn’t they If there’s even a small possibility? I don’t think his chances are above 50%, but always be prepared.

Austin Price seems to think with the lawsuit being filed in Knox County there’s a really good possibility JA wins round I of the case. The question will be how much will the NCAA pushback with appeals, etc, if JA does win.

Maybe this is round 1

Why Joey Aguilar was granted temporary restraining order

Judge Chris Heagerty granted Aguilar a temporary restraining order based on four reasons.

He wrote as follows:

  • Plaintiff has demonstrated a substantial likelihood of success on the merits of his claim that the NCAA’s “JUCO rule” violates the Tennessee Trade Practices Act.
  • Immediate and irreparable injury will result to the Plaintiff if the restraining order is not issued. Every day that Aguilar’s future remains uncertain leaves him unable to prepare for the next step of his career.
  • The balance of harms favor Plaintiff. The requested relief runs only to Aguilar. And the NCAA suffers no harm is Aguilar can play NCAA football for a fourth full season. The NCAA waived the JUCO rule for Aguilar and hundreds of other athletes in 2025.
  • No adequate remedy of law exits before a hearing can be had due to the time-sensitive nature of Plaintiff’s claim

Joey coming back raises the floor for next season. He wasn’t as great the last couple games of the season b it then it was revealed he had a tumor on his throwing arm. A healthy Joey coming back for a second year in the system is best case scenario. Legit playoff team and GMAC and Fazion battle it out for 27.
