According to Scout.com, UT football is ranked # 12 in the SEC in recruiting thus far this year. Even Vandy is ahead of us. The lack of better recruiting may not bode very well for us over the next few seasons... unless some changes are made.

Get recruits want to commit to winning programs that will help them get the attention of NFL scouts - not Comedy Central scouts.

GBO... replace Dooley and his defense assistants!

Coaches with NFL experience will get recruits to notice us. Talented players out of high school don't want college coaches anymore - they want a 1-2 year stint and a possible top draft choice route. While I never liked what Kiffin did to us, what he could have done for us if Carrol had stayed at USC would have been monumental. NFL. NFL. NFL. And if I am wrong, why all the countless chatter about Gruden?

And getting worse
We went from being on everybody's list to being on every nobody's list in a span of five years. Part of the epic fail and collapse of the entire program 2008-2012. Geez hire Fulmer back at this point and i guarantee you it can't any worse.

Tennessee will win the last three games. Recruiting will pick up and Tennessee will have a top 15 class. They will get Bell, Green, North and some of the others. Patience is the order fo the day.

This is VERY troubling. We will never be contending for SEC titles again unless we start to get elite talent. It is that simple.

It's hard to recruit when the recruits have no idea who their coaches will be.

Without coaches, we are only attractive to dedicated Vols fans, and players with no other Division 1 offers.

I wish I could feel good about your optimism...but I don't.

This is true. The quicker a decision is made one way or another will at least give recruits something to hang their hats on.

Recruiting ranking don't matter until the papers are signed on national signing day. Until that moment, it's all speculation about what 18yr olds might do.
