Didn't the football team do really well last year? It's okay though, I'm sure this thread will end up with people saying we'll get the death penalty, we won't have a good recruiting class and dooley will get fired, all because of the grades.

I'd be interested to know the breakdown of grade strugglers by class

On some level this could be expected due to the youth on the team. It isn't easy to get adjusted to the demands of college life. A breakdown would probably be interesting to see.

Hopefully everybody gets their act together over spring and summer.

The first person to blame are the players themselves. The players are given the easiest instructors and many times major in the easiest possible subjects, there is no excuse for doing poorly. It says a lot about some of our players if they can't get it together in the classroom where things are essentially handed to you...no wonder they can't get it together on the field

The only explanation I can come up with for this is that they must be averaging Kiffin's old recruits in this cumulative GPA

I don't think we had many jrs and seniors fired up about going to school or playing ball last year. They were ready to be done with it all due to the volitility of the program during their time.

Classroom? classroom? You wanna talk about classroom?

This team just went 5-7 and looked horrendous. Classroom? Really? Classroom?

so do you think ut will have players that could become academically ineligible?

Of course they do. Every school has them from Harvard to Stanford to Vandy to Aunt Jane's Academy of Bookbinding. All students are eligible to become academically ineligible, not just athletes.

We all are here to talk about football, but honestly, WKV, they are in college afterall. The classroom comes with the territory.
