Absolutely horrible loss today

We lost on the road in overtime to a great team. Yes, we probably lost any chance of winning the SEC championship outright with the loss today, but there's still a lot of ball left to be played, and the SEC tournament. We could still get a one seed. Even if we don't get a 1 seed, anything can happen in the tournament. If we get a favorable draw, we could go really far.

They play at Flordia who they just lost to. Let’s stop acting like LSU are world beaters. Sheesh.
They look like world beaters considering their remaining schedule compared to ours and UK’s

I love this team, but they have been engaged in a disappearing act all season (and most of last year as well).

Every game, the team disappears for a 5-7+ minute stretch, which either puts them in a significant hole to dig out of or evaporates a lead. There have been no better examples than the last two weeks. Started the 2nd half against KY by giving up a 14-0 run. Today, we blew a 9 point lead in the 2nd half.

I don’t know why, but this has been a long term problem for these players. It’s unfortunate because it is finally showing up and costing them the biggest games in the biggest season in Vols basketball history. They have to find a way to play a complete 40 mins or this will be an unfortunate ending to a potentially program changing season.

This is a good team but not a great team. They had some really good games early because they were a veteran team and jelled quicker than others. Everyone else had caught up now and Vols have not. Players like Alexander and Bowden are apparently tired and not playing at the same level and Fulkerson, Pons, and Walker cannot compete at the highest level. LSU was just the tougher team even without their best player.

The Vols will end up 3rd in the SEC, lose in the semis of the SECT and get a 3 seed in NCAA. They will have a good chance to make it to the Sweet 16 and then we hope for a good match up.

It's a bad loss because of the implications. Tough game. We weren't able to pull it out.
Yep, Will Wade probably didn’t think he could win at the start of the game, when Reid got two fouls, and at halftime. Poor play and decisions made by the Vols today.

This team might have just blown the SEC championship and a #1 seed. Really bad loss.

We will lose at least two more games. One loss on SEC tourney & one loss in NCAA.
We will end up at 31 - 5, which is the exact record of 2007 - 2008. Sweet 16 team

Their best player was out and we held their second best player to 1 point. Amazing how we still lose

LSU was just tougher than the Vols today. Evenso, if LT doesn't lose his mind at the end of the game, the Vols either win in OT or they are still playing in the second OT. Take the ball to the basket in the open court with 8 seconds left and then don't foul a guy 75 ft from the basket with less than 1 second left. LT must not have known what the score was to do something that stupid.

I wonder if these kids still have the Kentucky loss on their minds.

Barnes needs to exorcise these demons ASAP.

The story isn't written on this team yet. This loss hurt, yes, but we can still win or tie for the SEC title if we win out. Even the #1 seed is still up for grabs if we get on a good streak.

The only reason we are all so upset is that this team has overachieved for so much of the season.

For the life of me I don’t understand why we have stopped trying to score in transition. We had this game and blew it. Schofield played lights out and lets just say the refs could have been better.
Bone hasn’t been his usual self the last few games and Bowden isn’t running like he was.
