Abercrombie (OL) hits transfer portal

SDS reporting that Abercrombie entered the transfer portal today.

I think the guy saw the writing on the wall so to speak with who's here and who we are recruiting. Also, article reads like he was a scholly player last year and is a preferred walk-on this year...might have something to do with it as well. Could see him ending up somewhere like a UAB and having a good career.

Any rate, best of luck young man and may the future holds nothing but good blessings for you.

This is a good sign that the quality of depth on our OL is getting very good.

Under butch, this guy probably would have started. Now he is at best a 3rd stringer, probably 4th.

Good kid and hope he gets his chance to prove himself at another school.

Of course this helps with the juggling of schollys too.

Hope he finds a scholarship somewhere and gets to play. I’m sure UAB or Samford can use him.

I was watching the fantasy football draft on ESPN and some guy named Dodd took Kamara and Kelce as his first two fantasy picks and both were coached by Butch Jones.

Kid was a PWO that was awarded a scholarship. He worked hard while he was here and while he wasn’t good enough to get to play much he was still apart of this team, I wish him luck with whatever team he lands on, he’ll be a good player at a lower level.
