Aaron Douglas moved to tackle

She's had plenty of time to think about it...because he was told that this move would be likely when he was recruited. I'd say she's probably more worried about the fact that he can't pass one of his home drug tests they give him every month.
Yeah but she was told that by the man behind the curtain not Lord Vader! Maybe she will fire off a letter to KNS or Hyams will give her 20 minutes of air time to explain her take on the move.

Based on his 40 times out of HS, I always thought Aaron was a bit too slow to be a legit down field threat at TE. Thanks to his dad, he's got the background and frame to be an outstanding OL. He'll be a fine big, long and rangy athletic tackle and we need some of those desperately.

There is beginning to be movement in the off-season on positions. So far, I really like what I am seeing. I think now that recruiting has slowed down, the staff is spending more time evaluating the current players and sizing them up.

Im sure they have him on a weight gaining program right now. He needs to at least be around the 290-300lb range.

If it is his desire to play at the next level. I would be begging for the LT position. LT is where the money is. Just watch how many LT's get drafted in the 1st round. Big, strong, and athletic with good hands and feet. LT is a great move.

This move had to be made. Others will be made as well. You can't have only six total offensive lineman on your depth chart. People are going to be moved, and have to learn to play new positions. It will take him a while to grasp everything, but Douglas should wind up being a good tackle.

I, along with some others, have said ever since he signed that he would end up at OT. He could have been a solid college TE. But if he ever has any desire to play at the next level it will have to be at the OT position. So I think its a win-win because we lack depth at that position and it is the position that gives him the highest ceiling.

With his bloodlines and blocking ability, he'll be a good blocker at 280 lbs. At 295-300 lbs, this young man will become a starting tackle for us.

Hopefully this will be a good move for our running game. Big OT with quick feet blowing open holes for our back to scoot thru. Sounds good to me.
