Hey everyone! I know everyone is looking forward to the game tomorrow. Hope we beat the brakes off the Panthers of Pitt. We just welcomed to the world a little girl on Tuesday and got to bring her home yesterday. We have been blessed beyond measure! That being said, I got to thinking about how much of a joy it’s gonna be to watch Tennessee football with my little girl. Even though she obviously will sleep through the whole thing and not have a clue about what’s going on (being only 3 days old lol), it makes it exciting to be able to have a new member of the family that will enjoy the Vols in years to come. Anyways, just thought I’d share a little bit about my newborn little Volunteer and encourage you to watch the game with your kids! Bold Prediction: Little girl helps me root the Vols to a dominant victory over the Panthers tomorrow 56-35. GO VOLS!!!!!

Congrats! Nothing like raising a new crop of Vol fans! Was fortunate enough to take my oldest to his first home game against Vandy in '19 and then he tagged along with the wife and I to Lexington last year for his first away game. He's 2-0 lifetime for attended games, lol.

Congrats

Got a name yet...I'm assuming since she's home that you do...but wouldn't Heupel make a neat, trendsetting, girl's name?
Kind of like a play on the traditional Heidi, but with a current UT tie-in.

Hey, could be worse - could have suggested Hooker...HAHAHAHAAAAAAAA
All kidding aside my friend, CONGRATS and ENJOY on raising another great, great member of VolNation !!!

First off, congrats! Secondly, you may have overestimated your free time during the whole game... Hope I am wrong.

At least, that is way is works for me. My 5 year old daughter likes cheering on Tennessee (and can recognize the Power T), but i do not anticipate our 9 month old twin boys to cooperate. Regardless, I will watch (though it may be recorded). I went from a season ticket holder to not seeing a game in person since my daughter was born. Not saying it can't be done, but I hope to start going again and look forward to watching with my kids and sharing something with them that Dad shared with me. Which I believe is the point of you post. Congrats again and Go Vols!

Added a pic of her cheering from the basement from one of the first games she really watched.AA56556B-7178-48A1-AF02-3A078A5A7F91.jpeg

Congrats on the new addition and GBO!!

Funny story. When my daughter was born, my wife wanted her to be an Auburn fan and wear the AU clothes, cheerleading outfit, etc. Her whole family is a bunch of Barners.

So I made a deal with her. She could have the first kid and I got the second one, regardless of boy or girl. We had always planned for two.

See the funny thing is, my daughter literally couldn't care less about football. She thinks its barbaric and is not interested in the least bit in sports as a whole.

My son, however, enjoys playing football, watching it with his old man, and definitely going to games. He is a VFL.

I clearly won that deal...............but we NEVER talk about it.

My oldest daughter was born at halftime of the Oklahoma game in 2015 and I will never forgive her for jinxing us.

That’s funny. My wife was due with our middle son on the Saturday Tenn was Scheduled to play ND in 1991. But her doctor who is a Tenn Alum and myself told her we would be watching the game ( the Dr was actually a season ticket holder). So fortunately for me and the Doctor he was born on the off week the week before. She still tells that story to this day as if I’m supposed to be ashamed.

Heh, don't blame her. She managed to travel further than the ball needed to on that first quarter 4th and goal from inside the 1. If Butch Jones had been your doctor, he would have taken one look at her and said "let's just take the points" and called off the delivery. "But Doctor Butch, she's already been delivered!" "THAT'S NOT ON THE CHART."

Congrats! I know you have to be ecstatic! My wife and I are expecting a little girl in March and I'm already looking forward to ball games. I keep up with Tenn football, baseball, and basketball along with Lady Vols basketball and softball so needless to say there are many sites up on my computer right now with carts full of Lady Vol gear. Go Vols! Beat Pitt! Enjoy the game with her!

Congratulations!!

Now, if she turns out to be a Florida fan you know you're gonna have to disown her, right?
