Is to have a very good first year. I think most people, if he doesn't get to a bowl game, we'll understand. Heck, I don't expect to. And yes, it sounds obvious, but three things it will do if we get 7-8 wins.

1) Show recruits that we have a coaching staff that can compete no matter what the talent difference is.

2) Get's the fanbase very excited. As you know the fanbase is split. I think a lot of people who are doubting would get pumped about what we have at UT with 7-8 wins for 2010, being competitive on the field for most games, and especially if he can upset LSU, Bama, or UF.

3) Most importantly, it gives the program a foundation. Right now (no matter how high or low you are on Dooley), the foundation is very shaky. You get a solid season, coupled with a top-10 recruiting class for 2011 to go with 2010's recruiting class, and you now give the program solid footing that the future looks good.

I'm starting to get excited about football season and hopefully Dooley and company have a great year.

Go Vols! :hi:

He's going to have to be organized to get all of this done.

And he's going to have to want it. Bad.

Real bad.

There is no telling how we will do. There are so many teams breaking in new QBs in the SEC this year. Dooley has three years no matter what in my opinion, so as long as we are a nine or ten win team in his 3rd year I will be thrilled. I think he will excel at UT, he has a contract that reflects that we will be patient and allow him to turn the listing ship. I do not know why people do not get behind him more, he is here for a while so why not embrace the change.

Organized enough to arrange a team sit-in overlooking a natural body of water?

I sure hope so. Because that's what it's going to take.

Lmao! We need to swap the Kiff bilboards for ones of just DD's hair. His hair alone is capable of pulling 2 5 stars and 2 wins a year

If only there was some known standard of someone wanting it bad. Real bad.

You know, like a picture he could constantly compare himself against.

Putting a fresh dip of snuff in, and re-arranging his Confederate money in his Dale Earnhardt commemorative velcro-enclosed wallet.

Nothing better than a wife beater. You would look good in one Hat. Trade in those Birkenstocks, Sean Jeans, and Cardigan Sweater Vest for some of our redneck attire.

I especially agree about #3. If Dooley isn't the right option for us several years in the future, we should at least have some stability in the program. And that could make it more appealing to coaches with previous success. But Dooley has my support because of the fact that he's the HC at UT.

Tennessee is looking at 8 or 9 winable games. It is not a talent problem it is a depth problem...CDD is adding JUCO and transfers to address the depth problem...I would say that Gooch, Brewer, Williams, Rivera are all going to play some and add to the talent on the field...our incoming frosh are all talented although some may need to be coached up. Those of you saying UT has no chance against Oregon, Fl, LSU, UGA, AL and USC will see how wrong you are...Tennessee is looking better every week...I wouldn't worry about the OL or QBs CDD will have those positions addressed when we finally see what schemes he will be running ... if he goes to a 3-4 then the DT situation is addressed since we have a whole lot of good LBs. Brewer and Lofton will also give us some great backups at safety and Clark at CB along side Evans or Gordon will be a stud...

:good!:
