I am stuck in hospital while Spring bursts on the Maine coast, with loads of neat iridescent green hummingbirds on the quince bushes. Anxious to get out and enjoy nature.
My thoughts are with you @1reVOLver The weather is indeed wonderful in Maine and I know you are anxious to enjoy it. The trout are active as I am sure you will also be soon.

And I, faint palimpsest of your good self, attempt to intimidate RNs, MDs, and mobs of certified therapeutic practitioners so they might finally release me back into the wild. They are hemming and hawing about tomorrow, maybe.

The hummingbirds on the Japanese quince miss me, and I them.
Sending good wishes and hope you get freed soon. The medical community can be difficult. I have been checking the site to see if any additional news. Keep us updated.

Our ruby throated hummers are back and doing their usual aerial displays of aggression and defense.

Wow, my Memphis City School education failed me on this one. Had to look up the word palimpsest. Still confused about the hummingbirds on the Japanese quince sentence. Think I'll stick to sports.

It's just a high-faluting word for what Memphis denizens call a fried peanut butter, banana, and bacon sammich.
