A thought regarding the Cliff note thread

Look guys, by now, we all know who we're going to believe, and who we aren't going to believe. Most of us have been here since this forum was created. We could almost tell each other's life stories by now. So can we please stop with the "delete this" posts in the cliff note thread? Let everyone choose what and who they want to believe, and vise versa. I don't know what to think of VR, and I get that most of y'all hate him because he is so far out, but give him a chance to shock us. Then, if he IS lying, we'll heckle Freak to death till he releases all his information, we'll hunt him down and... Well, use your imagination. But for now, we're vols, he's a Vol, so lets give the guy (and anyone else claiming to have info) a fair chance before flaming everything they say.

Heh.... I don't believe anyone , much less VR at all . Though I will give him props for being entertaining

Plus . . . If you post "delete this" it's tremendously annoying because then we have to delete twice as many posts.

Yeah nights like tonight can keep y'all pretty busy I would imagine. I hope VolReporter shocks us all.. Time will tell though.

So that's how it happens. Every time I see a comment I think "what about "No Discussion" do these people not understand. But that makes sense.

Sometimes I want to comment but don't give into the temptation. And I don't even bother trying to keep up with the OG threads.

I agree...I don't trust most of the **** on this board---take it with a grain of salt..the sun will come up tomorrow and someone is going to lead this football program...if it's Gruden great..if not I'll support whomever is leading the O & W!

Or maybe just have a 100 post requirement, these trolls with 5 posts, posting BS in there is annoying, not sure how many of the posts are these posters, but I have seen a lot, and they are usually the most absurd.

I hear what you're all saying, but I go back to the original intent of the Cliff('s) Notes thread: it was meant to quote interesting and perhaps semi-reputable info on the is-he-coming-here-or-not stuff, with citations to where it was originally posted. With a new morph of the Official Jon Gruden thread every 36 hours or so, there's no way that those of us trying to hold on to a job can keep up without it.

If you start allowing all the chat and discussion on the the Cliffy thread, much of its usefulness goes right out the window. It's like trying to read the news, and finding that your source is now Entertainment Tonight. :crazy:

FWIW, I have filed a bunch of abuse reports on chat, but sometimes out of exasperation (and hopes that someone will read it and get a clue), I've also posted on the thread itself and requested that the mods delete both.I understand the irony of doing this, but at my age, patience is running out.
