Eric Gordon....

"I hope those other guys (top in-state talent) will follow me and get up there and make it a dynasty up there. If I need to speak to a couple guys, hey, it won't be a problem."

That's the type of player(s) we need here at UT.

before we get excited....this isn't new......Crompton was this way when he comitted as have been a few others of late..........

and then remember.......Jimmy Clausen was going to personally recruit players to ND that would win a national title every season.....

so, glad he feels that way, don't get me wrong........just not sure it's something to get THAT excited about.

It's more in reference to the in-state comment. That's what I was going for. We aren't that deep on talent, but we are deep enough that we need to secure the best talent Tennessee has to offer so it doesn't go play elsewhere. Gordon's attitude is a direct reflection of what we SHOULD have in this state.

I'm not personally excited about it, I'm just very curious to know what Kiffin said to him to get him that excited. It is nice, one way or another, to see a little fire and a little drive from our recruits/players is all.

I agree. Tennessee may not be rich in 1A talent, but we need to at least keep the ones there are. :eek:k:

I agree. If I was a top recruit or a football player in the state of Tennessee my top goal would be to play for the Orange and win NCs! If we had that type of mentality throughout the state that would be awesome!

I am not sure if this is true but I heard that the state of Tennessee has about 20 some odd players that are coming out in 2010 that will be rivals top 100. Has anyone heard this?
