I understand your frustrations. The 2016 class was lower in ranking than the two previous (although some metrics suggest it could be a stronger class.) The 2017 class also isn't meeting your expectations.
My proposal is that, at least until some 2016 football is in the books, you stop bashing any committed prospect for 2017 class, the collective ranking of the group, or the recruiting ability of our coaches. Also, try to take in consideration Butch's track record thus far... Inability to recruit hasn't be a legitimate critique. I'm setting the arbitrary number of games to wait before bashing at 8, but that number is negotiable.
We will have to find something new for you folks to talk about, but practice is only two weeks away! Then you can start moaning about how the S&C program isn't doing enough to prevent injuries or letting everyone know Butch is an idiot for putting player X over player Y on the two deep. A couple of months from now you'll get to discount the quality of wins because we didn't beat a conference opponent by enough points to sate your bloodlust. Maybe one of the colorful forum characters will happen by and fire one across the bow in a way that leads to colorful off-topic discussion!
All of these things are fine... Just shut your dirty mouth about 2017 recruiting. We know. We see it too. Only the Chicken Littles really care at this point of the cycle.
