What do you think should be the overall decision regarding the coaching staff, given they end the season with 1, maybe 2 losses close losses (against Ga and , and a convincing bowl win against a major (Big 10, Big 12, SEC, PAC-10, etc) opponent?

Options 3-5 are assuming that CPF will leave peacefully, given the general concensus that the program has gone downhill under his lead since the NC.

I voted bring in outside coach and let him choose his staff. That way he will have the opportunity to judge for himself if Chavis and Cutcliff are really worth having around. If he keeps them then that would signal that CPF had his hand in to many cookie jars and they were only following his directions to begin with. IF he gets rid of them then you know how bad of shape we were really in. My guess would be Cutcliff would stay and Chavis along with most of the other coaches would be systematically replaced. Trooper might not even be safe. My hope would be that a new coach would get out the broom and dustpan and start sweeping up the dirt really fast.

Well i voted for clean house. I would assume that the new coach would pick his own staff.

I would as well...but it is entirely possible that the "new coach" would leave some of the current staff intact. It all depends on the assessment he would make coming in. He is either going to want to keep Cutt of Chavis because he knows they are "solid coaches" or he is going to do just what you voted for and clean house and bring with him his own staff sorta like Meyer did.

Any decent coach would have the authority to pick his own staff. If we got a defensive oriented coach he might keep Cut around. But in most cases I think firing the HC means you are getting a whole new staff too.

any coach that keeps Cut as anything but a QB coach should not get past the interview
