I'm not happy about how the game ended and some play calling either but I'm going to listen here. He's still our coach.

I'm starting to think our football team is just a massive cult and Butch has them drinking the koolaid. They obviously aren't being properly taught the game of American football.

How does this "Butch this....Butch that....Butch didn't....Butch should have etc effect the player?
Players see and hear this, most understand rabid fans both good and bad. But tomorrow is Tuesday and hopefully things will calm down for the players so they can concentrate on game prep.

Some of Our "fans" sheer arrogance and lack of respect for the players is downright embarrassing .......,

They aren't happy because they want to play.

Wiggins should be out there..no question. I can understand his frustration because of his talent and his situation. I think he'll be playing this week. Long overdue but better late than never.

It would be bad if the players didn't support the coach. I wish Shamburger would have been out there in the dime on the last play. We likely wouldn't have these tweets if we made solid coaching decisions.

The kids are playing there butts of for the College and the coach, thats not the problem. I am proud of those kids for playing there hearts out. The coaching is what is killing this Team.

it was nickel , we don't have a dime package. too many injuries

Really? I respect players that will fight for their coach,regardless of what others think.

I'm sorry guys, I'm just tired of the nice guy Mr. Jones routine. I do think Butch is a class act and a great person, but he's not proven to be a good coach. We have all been patient, it's year five. I want results. I want to win football games. I'm tired of Tennessee being an embarrassment. We have had the ability to win and achieve more these past seasons and we haven't due to Butch's terrible coaching decisions and game management. I truly think our talent alone has been winning us games. Then he piles on with cliches, excuses, and gimmicks. It is so hard to like the guy at this point. We have failed to live up to our expectations, unless mediocrity is the expectation now.

Seriously. Some people need to think about the negative affects of the hate they spew on recruiting and these kids. Butch will either run the table or he will be replaced. There is nothing else you need to say. Folks sounding like broken records... round and round and round.

Maybe by his 5th year he could've accomplished teaching his players to tackle in the open field, run the correct route, not throw to the guys in blue, and most importantly NOT leave a single high safety on an island against the opposing team's best WR on the last and most critical play of the game?

And why the hell are we so paper thin at several positions after 4 years of recruiting top 10 classes??

Maybe if he could accomplish some of those things after 4.5 years (while getting paid a modest 4+ mil a year) we wouldn't be so hard on him.

It's sarcasm. I will always love Tennessee and support our players. I'm glad the players believe in their coach, I hope they all do. I want the program to succeed. I do not want to see it fall a part. The last thing I want is for Butch to be fired and have to start over again. But with the continued embarrassment and terrible coaching I do not know how much longer he can last here if we are serious about wanting to win championships. But hey maybe you guys are ok with life championships.

I think Butch would be a decent AD.
