It's an ok price but you still have to consider the price of an external hard-drive. Because if your putting HD quality vids on your external I would recommend a TB unless you like adding and removing a lot.

So $200 with the Media Center and the 1TB hard drive. It also plays MKV files which are compressed HD Video files. A lot cheaper than buying a computer just do do everything.
