Nothing Earth shattering in regards to Gruden, but in terms of Dooley he is out barring a miraculous turnaround and even then it may not matter. Some of the more influential boosters have been approached about his buyout, signaling that a decision has been reached in terms of Dooley. I have no information on a timetable or a replacement. I personally do not believe it will be Gruden and according to this person no one knows outside of Hart. I will get more information when I can but I don't see him very often. He also has no clue that I share it with anyone else.

If I was a booster and Hart approached me wanting tons of my money to use as a buyout for Dooley, I would be hesitant to give it without an idea of who he was pursuing as a replacement. I would want to know I would be getting a good return on my investment so to speak.

Im thinking this info is a little off, especially if they think only Hart knows or is the deciding factor. And too many dependables say it is Gruden.

Probably true but they do not want any leaks that may damage a relationship

Exactly why this is unlikely true.

The same dependable sources said he was going to be fired two weeks ago. If you are financing a buyout and you agree with the decision, then your role as a booster is filled.

Haven't you been on record of saying that nothing had changed with Dooley? Am I misstating that?

If so glad you have heard differently now. Whether you like Dooley or not. A change has to be made.

Nothing had changed in terms of his situation several days ago contrary to what was said. He was never on solid ground but that ground has now turned to sand.

Most of those werent exactly dependable. The ones saying end of the season are a little more realistic. The ones financing it are the ones pushing for it to happen, so they already know who it is.

Who are these "ones" you are referring to? There aren't many UT boosters at his financial level and unless you are speaking to a Haslam I wouldn't buy it.

I would ask the ones bringing the info. If I was betting Haslam is leading the Gruden to UT campaign. Sorry man too many newbies have sources and post BS and either know nothing or havent proven they do. The few dependable ones on here, less than a handful say Dooley is gone and has been and Gruden is 100% our guy. Hart cant be stupid enough to keep Dooley. 1-12 his last 13 SEC games doesnt win you much confidence.

Let's see which one is more reasonable and probable: Dooley most likely will not return and a decision has not been made on his replacement(in line with Brent Hubbs) or Dooley is 100% gone and Gruden is 100% the next coach at 5 million a year(in line with sources who are repeatedly wrong). This is a tough one.

Yeah...if something had indeed been agreed upon, pretty sure the next step would be to keep things under wraps until after the end of the regular season. Unless Dooley finds a way to lose to Troy......it can only go downhill after that.

If we lose tomorrow, chit is really going to hit the fan.

my source never said the exact opposite. He said that a decision on Dooley had not been made yet and this talk of Gruden was premature. The talk of Gruden is still premature but it seems a decision on Dooley has been made

people have been saying for 2-3 weeks that a decision had been made.

on Oct 23 you said "From what a certain booster has said, Dooley and Hart will sit down after the season and discuss the direction of the program"

now today you say "in terms of Dooley he is out barring a miraculous turnaround and even then it may not matter. Some of the more influential boosters have been approached about his buyout, signaling that a decision has been reached in terms of Dooley."

your have the Jimmy Hyams of sources
