Several years ago, I was sitting at practice talking to a coach who had road games with two ranked conference opponents ahead of him. One of the local writers came up and asked how much the coach was "dreading" that pair of games. His response: "If you don't want weeks like this, you need to go work in the MAAC." That sums up my feelings about this week perfectly. Tennessee has the kind of opportunities you only get at college basketball's highest levels. You don't get back to back ranked opponents in America East. Here's hoping they take advantage of the situation.

i'll be thrilled to go 1-1 this week.. if that happens i say we get a 4 or 5 seed.. two losses and i say 6 or 7

there is a lot of bball to play but im definitely looking forward to the next two games

This week would be huge in confidence building for the next few weeks. Either way, if we go 0-2, 2-0, or 1-1 it doesn't really have that much effect on the games next week and beyond in my opinion. Pearl can rally the troops if this week is a bust. The only danger I see is that there are 2 other road games that we could potentially lose which would put us at 9-7 or possibly 8-8 in the conference. I just don't see a Pearl coached team collapse like that down the stretch. So with that being said, this week has great potential to turn this team into a #2 or #3 seed possibly as opposed to the much dreaded 8 v 9 match up again. Go Vols!

How on earth do you all plan on beating UK now? You all couldn't even beat us when we had a drunk for a coach, now with Cal as our coach it must be hard to even think about playing us...
Like in years past, UT starts off strong then ole B.P. starts coaching!

The sad thing is, I bet you suck every bit as bad at life in general as you do trolling.

Enjoy the Cal experience now....few years from now when you're having games taken away and sittin out of the tournament...you'll still have that nice attitude about UK and Cal.

Good thing Cal has obviously out coached Pearl in the past...

He's at a school where he doesn't have to cheat, now if he was at a school like UT then I'd agree with you!

His coaching worked out pretty good against Cal's no. 1 ranked team before.

Ok, I'll ask the obvious....if you don't have to cheat at Kentucky, then why do you keep doing it?

Oh ya and you might want to ask Rex Chapman where he got that beautiful new IROC Z to drive around in while at KY.

Is their any other program in America that has a celebrated coach with a season cancelled like Rupp did?
