Just saw on Facebook that Paul Naumoff passed. Included was a highlight showing some of his work. I still remember his Gator Bowl performance against Syracuse when he stood Larry Consonka up on the four yard line late in the game to preserve the victory. Great game, that Gator Bowl Jan. 1 1968 . RIP

Paul Naumoff was a real animal on the field and a great, great LB:cool: He broke Joe Namath's leg in a 1971 preseason game between the Lions and the Jets:eek:

One of my favorites as a youngster. Followed him every Thanksgiving playing with Mike Lucci with Detroit. His hit on Csonka was classic LB play.

I was at that Gator Bowl game and saw and heard the hit on Csonka. Paul was a beast. RIP

Wow, what a blast from the past. Coached my little league team in the late 90s/early 2000s in West Hills, went to Cedar Springs with him. I had no clue that he had this kind of history. Great guy, Rest In Peace.
