First and foremost I went to the Gator vs. Tenn game last year and most of the Vols we partied with were very classy. It was great to be in Neyland stadium with all those Vols screaming. It was great to see the bald eagle flying around the stadium during the national anthem, gave me chill bumps. I guess I am a big patriotic kind of guy. I love the fireworks after the Vols would score, really cool. On a side note, I remember before the game started they were giving stuff away for some contests. I remember one of the winners was Art Vandelay(Seinfield) that was hilarious. I see your basketball program and how great Pearl is. This is why it pains me to see the football program the butt of national jokes. I am a big Gator first, but I am an Sec fan second. It is great for the Sec to have Tenn. as a national power and not some sort of orange headed step child. This is why I feel it is time for Fulmer to go. It is time to get some new blood in the Vol program, an up and commer like Urban Meyer. Get that coach who brings intelligence and energy to relate to these kids. Play to win and not to lose. But once again the Vols are very classy and do not deserve to have thier proud program run in the ground. Just my two Lincolns..

haha. I was there when they called out Art Vandelay but everyone I was with said I was making it up. I'm glad someone else remembers it. I thought I was just

Hey, you know what I suspect nobody here cares much about? The opinion of a Gator who signed up the day your team whipped us. If you "just want to talk football" or whatever, then where were you last week?

Well, since scott and I seem to have the same sentiments, you can add me to the "cares" list. It's actually kind of nice to see that the failure of our coaching staff is obvious to someone who wears a different shade of orange.

I agree with you. I don't despise or deeply resent any school. I always cheer for an SEC team when they play out of conference. The only thing is this:

You'll never see that game on ESPN classics. I've seen other UT/UF games on there. Last minute touchdown one year. Last minute field goal another year. You hate to be on the losing end, but you don't necessarily feel bad, because you know you lost a very close, highly competitive game. Having a worthy opponent, even with a loss, makes the team better. Using UT as a doormat will not make any other team better, except statistically, and that's no reason to go to a football game.

And I'll also comment on what seems to be a classy post. You didn't say "LOL UR TEAM SUX!!!". You want a fair natured return to the rivalry, not just another scrath-off win, and that's commendable.

How many Gator freshmen does it take to change a light bulb? .......none , that's a Sophomore course.

How many does it take to make UT look slow and sluggish?...... as many as they want to put on the field.

well the least they could do is speak negavol!

Welcome to Volnation.

Press 1 for Negavol
Press 2 for Bammer
Press 3 for Crocodile

If you choose to speak Fulmerite, please hang up the phone and speak directly into your kool-aid glass. Trust us, it will work just like us winning out this year.

I agree with Doc on this one.I thought at first you were jabbing at us but as I read it really does ring true.I just hope our players here now and recruits don't give up on the UT adminstration, if they do, we may be in for a winning program drought at UT for a number of years to come.I also recall the Art Vandelay remark as well, it just stood out over the noise, funny.Last but not least I recall Florida fans at that game were very subdued and friendly, at least what I witnessed.

Hey right after the game we walked down the strip where all the bars are and partied with you guys. Hell it was a great game! 21-20 was very close. Oh and on a side note, it is a pain to tailgate with all those hills:), but the ladies are hot in Knoxville, cool.

As a Gator I have to agree on the UT gameday events. I live in Nashville and have probably been to close to 30 UT games. I love the atmosphere and everything as an SEC fan and I cheer except against the Gators. I am actually taking my boys to their first big stadium game this weekend for the Arky State game.
As far as Fulmer goes, I hate to see it as he is a good recruiter and good outside the university but I can see where the frustration comes in. I still say they should wait and see the finished product then make a decision. Alas, as my friend RexVol said, would Jeremy Foley keep a coach who went 5-6?? Enough said......

Thanks Scott. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Neyland. I've been to Florida Field many times and never have had any troubles. Have always been treated with respect. Better days are ahead for us, just don't know how long it's going to take to get there.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. You know it is a game in the end. Yes it hurts, you want your team to win and then you have another beer. I think it is all about the experience and having cool fans to drink with makes it all the better:thumbsup: Better days are ahead my Vol friends! The sooner a coaching change the better.
