And between all the members of our media I am sure that all of those coaches, at some point this week, will be named as a coach for our 2012 campaign.

Willis or Jones would be homerun hires. Willis has some baggage with his legal issue that led to his dismissal from Texas Tech, but it may be worth the risk. Jones will likely be unemployed this week after Gregg Williams joins Fisher in STL. Both have strong ties in Alabama and could replace LT's recruiting territory.

Which is considered to be the best recruiter? Are any of them unanimously the best?

Not sure who's the best (or most realistic) but Bo Davis has a pretty impressive bio imo. Considering the guys that he's coached I would say he'd have to be a strong recruiter

I really think at least one of the hires will come from this list...Jones being the most likely

Call it a hunch but I don't see Jones coming here. NFL experience is a must but above all else we need guys with more SEC coaching experience. All jmo

I’m hoping for a little ‘wisdom of crowds’ going on here. I have a couple of tabs open from when I looked at all the bios and picked what I thought were the logical choices. Jones was one and–just because he needed work–George Edwards. When I opened the tab for Willis I spent about 5 seconds reading it because I though he was still employed.

Going back after you wrote that about Willis being out at TTU, I went back to the bio. And then I went and re-read the Jones bio. I did a little Wikipedia search and found Edwards to be a little too Gatorish to be believed. Seriously, there’s a little too much good-old-reptile to think he’s seriously consider working for Gator-haters.

If I was making my first offers, looking at their prior jobs, I’d be all over those two. Jones looks like an up-and-comer who’s looking to take the next step in coaching. Willis looks like somebody who wants to rehabilitate his career. Most of those other guys are right were they need to be to advance their careers.

After reading bo davis' bio, I would probably jizz in my pants at that hire. He has been a d line coach in the sec, he has intersected sals and dooleys career (almost mirrors dooley) which shows familiarity, and it seems mt. Cody was his product. Maybe he would like to develop mt. Mccullers? I just dont see him leaving tu after one year. Maybe the lure of the sec will be too strong? In any case, I am supremely confident that dooley and hart will find someone who is a great coach and recruiter; whether one from this list or out of the blue. Good list oci, thanks for the info. Let the rumors begin...

I think I'm in Davis' corner... Jones leaving the NFL just doesn't seem realistic unless he just misses the college game... but he's young so who knows. The thing to watch for NFL guys now is college experience if any and if so how long have they been away. The college game has changed a lot just in the last 10 years. It sure caught Coach Baggett off guard (if the rumors were accurate). Neither here nor there, just something to ponder...

I know the Walton family. His wife really misses the South, but their oldest son is playing college ball in Michigan, so they'd like to stay for him. Plus things are finally looking good with Lions football, so he's got a good gig here.

Karl Dunbar is a huge possibility if he is still available. A couple weeks ago I read where he was no longer with the Vikings.

I guess we will wait and see....
