A Fair Expectation for Coach Dooley.

So because Dooley isn't 45, we can't judge him?

Judge him all you want, but to guarantee the fate of a young coach is stupidity. There are more factors involved.

Funny thing is that Saban and other coaches think DD will do well and know him, yet unexperienced, anonymous internet posters guarantee his failure. That's damn funny.

Drama queen posts? Having major concerns about the direction of the football program that I love doen't make me a drama queen good sir.

You're right. It makes you not a true fan negavol troll that needs to go cheer for another team (usually Alabama) because you have unrealistic expectations, fail to recognize the dumpster fire Dooley inherited including the fact we only had Pop Warner caliber players when CDD arrived, and apparently possesses absolutely no knowledge of the game who wants UT to fail so Dooley will be fired fulfilling your irrational personal vendetta against the most noble man in the world because he is the only coach on the face of the planet that would accept over a million dollar raise to leave his old job at a podunk whipping post of a football program in the middle of a godforsaken swamp to coach/rebuild at a historically top ten major football program with world class facilities and tons of cash on hand to build even better that also included a $5 million buyout security blanket in case he failed (what 'normal' coach would accept such a daunting task with this much peril?) while failing to realize that he coached under Nick Saban for years where he gained his football guru status off of the greatest football coach alive today via osmosis. Hater.

Are you one of the guys that Clay said Dooley pays to take up for him on message boards? If it smells like a turd, it is one.

Drama queen post #4 from you already this morning. Like your buddy, when put in your place, begin dramatic tactics to pull attention away.

What place was I put in? You have more belief in Dooley than I do, but Your still not 100% on him. I completely understand that stance and a lot of people have that belief. That doesn't make you any less of a fan by the way.

Sparta, save yourself the high blood pressure heahache and move on. Those that have made their mind up that Dooley will fail will not be convinced otherwise. Even if he wins and brings the success they will turn it around into something else. It's not worth it. :hi:

Says the guy who thinks you judge a coach over his first 5 years and before he turns 45.

That's brilliant.

A failure is a failure regardless of age. Tennessee is a job where the training wheels are off, not put on.

He coached under Saban how long and was at best an easily replaced position coach.

He loses more than he wins, blame injuries. You have to replace 80% of your staff? They weren't any good anyways.

It's been one screwup after another with him. He's recruited well, but Tennessee hasn't really had an issue attracting talent since the '70s

He may eventually figure it out, but I doubt it will be in Knoxville

VFG GBO!! :loco:

Ahem, year 2. Remember year 1 was really year zero making year 2 year 1; thus year 3 is year 2. It's complicated. I think Avagadro's number along with the atomic weight of cobalt was used to figure that one out.

Actually, you have to rely on the Reimann hypothesis to figure it out. This is especially problematic because no mathematician -- including the legendary and Nobel Prize winning John F. Nash Jr. (the guy portrayed in "A Beautiful Mind"), who was literally driven to madness in an attempt to prove it -- has been able to prove this conjecture about nontrivial (year) zeros since it was first proposed by Bernhard Reimann in 1859.

All that being said, I think we can figure it out.

They grab opportunity by the throat when it presents itself despite adversity and win.

They grab opportunity by the hips; they pull opportunity in close; they thrust themselves into that opportunity with all their manhood; and they continue to crush that opportunity again and again....for thirty seconds or so.

if you don't have one to put in, go find another. Thats what recruiting, watching film, and holding tryouts does.

It's actually even more basic than this. Execution is not on the players. It's on the coaches.

A team that executes well is a well-coached team.
A team does not execute crisply and plays sloppy like my ex-girlfriend's pie is a poorly coached team.

Yeah, I don't even look at UT's record. My mind has been made up -- it was made up before he ever coached a game -- and it cannot be changed by results.

Hell, he could drop a BCS three-peat on us starting this season and it wouldn't change my view. I'd still sneak through his neighborhood late at night with my crew of buddies and several dozen eggs and we would Go. To. Town.

What do I not know about?

You clearly don't know about how to properly use the term "drama queen" again and again and again...

And this is a very important skill that the truly elite -- and only the truly elite -- posters have mastered.

I'll play along. You call me Babs. I'll call you 3 fools drama queens, which you are.

The only reason you get respect around here anyways is because of the bottom of the boobs shot on your avatar and every man digs bottom boob. If you didn't have that avatar, you'd be another RavenH

I don't know very much about football, but I would put jay's knowledge of the game against anyone's opinions on here.

Nobody is questioning his knowledge of the game. Actually, he wouldn't admit it, but outside of the Dooley thing, he and I probably follow the game the same way and see the same things.

I just don't think he can predict the future.
