so far we know that our Offense is going to put up points. but against bama's D i think a great game would give us 17-24 points. So it will come down to Bama's offense vs our D imo.

And heres the problem i have with that.

The D we are installing is the one that saban know everything about. so he will know the tricks that expose this D. plus they are stacked across the board,

but heres a question do you think we run more 4-3 in that game to switch it up? And are you even worried about what im saying at all:crazy:

If you aren't concerned about every aspect of our game vs. Bammer, you are unrealistic when it comes to CFB.

We are getting back but Bama in on Mt. Everest building sky scrapers right now. I am all Vol but you got to give Bama credit till someone proves otherwise.

I think Saban knows how to expose any style D as well as any style O. He is scary smart.

After watching Bams just dominate michigan there isn't much to look forward to haha. We would have to catch them not on their best day to beat em. That's a long way from now though and there is definitely time for things to change.

+1000. If any team can shut our Offense down and rattle Bray it is Ala. Hopefully he is healthy and gets his first career start against the bammers. But I probably outside of Arky we will have the most explosive O that Ala will play. I would give Arky a slight edge over us because of Nile Davis but if Lane continues to develop and play well we would be the most prolific O in the SEC. Its definitely Arky and TN with the best offenses in the conference. Mizzou could be up there too but they have to show they can do it against the better SEC defenses, starting this wknd.

Yeah, us too.

Bama's secondary isn't terribly deep, and is fairly young outside of Milliner and Lester. If Tennessee can exploit some mental errors... who knows?

They are definitely loaded but outside of Denard running the ball Mich is a very slow team.Which is typical big 10, but that wont be Michigan's last beatdown this year. LSU has a better D than Ala. If LSU can get better QB play than they have had lately they will beat Ala in Bayou country. Not taking anything from the Bams they are absolutely loaded, but overall top to bottom LSU is more talented and experienced.

We need 2 turnovers to be in this game.
We need the 105,000th man to be loud.
We need Bray to make all the right decisions.
We Win!

We almost beat them at their house when they had a better team then IMO. If it was not for a lard blocking a field goal my 5 year old could have blocked......Anything can happen. I will be the first onto the field when we do! Neener neener neener!

On the flip side, do you think Sal does not know Bama's tendencies on D? That would be a benefit to our offense, would it not?

If you want to be optomistic but still realistic about our season... We have a decent shot at playing Bama twice this year, but an even better shot at losing twice.

I dont expect us to beat Ala, but Dooley needs to make sure its competitive and show he has narrowed the gap. Honestly the year Kiffin was here and we had a chance to beat Ala should never have been close. This is our best team since probably the year Cut was last here and we played LSU in the SEC Champ. He has to beat UF this year and atleast needs to be competitive against UA. And honestly probably needs to beat either or both UGA and SC. Our schedule next year is brutal so this is our best chance to get to the SEC championship game for a year or two.

The last two Bama home games I've been to, they were louder than we were...

And an even better shot at playing LSU one time.Ala is the one game i think is almost a for sure loss. The East is very winnable and Dooley has got to get it done.

Past performance tells me Saban knows everything about 4-3 too. Bama will field the better team, any chance we have to win will be based on flawless execution on both sides of the ball.

You think LSU is more likely to win the west than Alabama?

I dunno. I feel like if we are to win, it's by winning the turnover battle and executing big plays. If that's what you meant, then okay. I just got the impression you were referring to execution of sustained offense.

I feel like our best bet is several big plays to balance out our inevitable strings of three and outs. Pretty much the recipe for game 1. Win the turnover margin and big plays. We had a couple sustained drives, which we will probably not be able to repeat against Bama.

Bama does the same thing to everyone and it doesn't matter if Saban is familiar with the defense or what kind of defense it is. They pound the rock and throw short safe passes, occasionally taking a chance down field. Stopping the run against them is the key to shutting them down. That's easier said than done.

Absolutely. They are the more veteran team and much better depth than Ala. Plus they play in LSU and Miles is the one coach than knows how to beat Saban. If you compare 1st and 2nd teams from both Ala and LSU then LSU is the better team. Much better depth. Like I said if LSU gets just decent QB play they win the West.
