The reason the media gushes over teams like USC are because they are good. UT has been mediocre and undisciplined. When was the last time you saw USC or FLA commit back to back False Starts.

didn't the LT from FLA do it in the NC championship game? :)

This has only been recently. Still, the color commentators constantly gushing over the opposing teams, Tennesse might as well not be playing because you won't heare much about TN. Then there is a constant love fest with USC and OSU; and that is only on the football side of things. Now, I have been checking ESPN during the hiring of our coaches. Many other schools would have gotten tons of attention especially with the coaches we have brought in. But NO, ESPN would rather talk about the University of Washington and their recruiting.

So, no, I don't think that ESPN is conspiring against the VOLS, they just won't talk about them.

I agree. I don't buy into the "ESPN hates UT" stuff but there is a very evident disdain for UT among a lot of the personalities that ESPN, CBS and other media employ. It's not a conspiracy because a good percentage of the sports media doesn't bother to hide their low opinion of UT.

How about UF's season last year? Their D was awful and they lost multiple games. Granted, they had the Heisman winning QB but would a QB from UT ever win the Heisman with 4 losses? I doubt it.

I used to work at the Calhoun's in Bearden... after that I would never eat at another Calhouns. I can't say that about the other 2 restaurant's I've eaten at.

Calhouns is not that great, but as mentioned M&M's BBQ is incredible. Luckily I live right down the road from them.

Jay Bee's in Gardena would be a good place to start (assuming that still counts seeing as that its only 1 degree of seperation away from Memphis).
Big Nate's in San Francisco can compete with any BBQ produced anywhere.

So I have to drive hundreds of miles to find it? So maybe I included too large of an area, I will consider you the greatest man alive if you can direct me towards a decent deli out here.

There are a couple of decent ones in L.A., but great delis are pretty much the exclusive property of the East Coast.

The ESPN conspiracy stuff is total crap.

Ha! You probably think that we actually landed on the moon, that Elvis is Dead, and that Bill Gates isn't going to send me a check as soon as 28 more people forward my email.
