Preseason: Marlin Lane/Geraldo Orta sexual assault issues

Played 23 true freshman - more than any other school

An offensive line that allowed 40+ sacks (one of the worst in FBS)

Losing LT Jacob Gilliam to acl injury - who comes back and plays on it the rest of the season

Another midseason Worley to Dobbs QB change due to injury

Lost Josh Smith early and Marquez North for the season

Lost AJ Johnson to sexual assault accusations

SEASON ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Multiple SEC wins, multiple home sellouts, another top-five recruiting class (currently), won more games than last year, bowl eligible


...It could be worse guys. Considering where we've been and what we've been through, I see the progress. It may not be instant, but it will be here soon.

I agree. Could've been better but I'm looking forward to the bowl game and next year. We have a lot of playmakers that are currently freshman

1 more SEC win than last year

1 more overall win than last year

1 more road game win than last year

Much more fight in all games than last year

The progress is there if people will look.

Also get to play 1 more game than last year

We where one play away from Dobbs being folded up like a cheap suit and the outcome could have been very different. Get out of town with a win, live to fight another day.

6-6 is a great season for this young team. 4-8, 5-7 were what most predicted for this season. And won't it be great to have a game to look forward to this holiday season.

Butch has delivered on everything he's set out to do. For the first time in a long time, i'm seeing visible progress on multiple fronts. Excited to see what the future holds, and extremely glad i'm not a turncheek fan when the chips get a bit down. Go Vols!

Lost to 3 east opponents by a total of 12 points. This team at full strength beats Candy by way more, but as it is a win is a win. Let's go bowling!

We looked like a MASH unit out there. Losing AJ and Williams also hurt. I hope everybody passes their classes so they can practice and play in the bowl.

The majority of people picked us to go 6 and 6 at the beginning of the year I'm very proud of them!

These are the starters that were out due to injury or other.

AJ , Marquez , Hurd, Malone , Johnson, crowder, am I missing any??

You know, Im not exactly happy with the playcalling and the Oline play, or how the D secondary seemed to let too many big plays happen as the year went on, but considering I was predicting 5-7 at the beginning of they year i really can't be too upset. Like most here said, were going to a bowl and I said before the season I'd be thrilled with 6 wins so I'm jst gonna enjoy the bowl game, win or lose and be glad our guys get a few more practices.
