Yes, our incompetent lightweight AD at the time didnt have the sway to get him canned. He's officiated a dozen UK games since then and refs SEC games weekly still...

Yes, it’s 2019 because that is exactly when his biased officiating contributed directly to LSU winning the 2019 SEC regular season championship and denying TN a share of it. He’s certainly not called any TN or LSU games. His Google searches pretty much end with the outrage after that game. He shouldn’t ever be allowed to officiate anything other than rec league or church league basketball games. Maybe not those either. He’s a cheater.

Good point. O’Neill bailed out on Tennessee because Doug Dickey didn’t have his back over Isiah Victor in 1996-97.

It’s a storied rivalry when TN plays at LSU.

In the early 1980s the LSU clock operator failed to start the game clock with TN taking the ball out of bounds, down one point, 94 feet from the TN goal, with about 12 seconds left in the game. TN misses a game winning shot but Big Dan Federmann dunks a put back just before the delayed final buzzer for the TN win. While Dale Brown was grabbing the PA mic and telling the crowd not to leave because they’d play the end over, Devoe was loading his team on the bus without showering or changing out of their uniforms.

Then about 8 years later, Dale Brown takes a swing at and nearly tackles Carlus Groves because he claims he was protecting Shaquille O’Neal.

About halfway between those two games, Doug Roth flips off the LSU student body after knocking down a 3-pointer. John Ward described it as Roth letting the LSU students know that he thinks they are #1.

I think there’s video of Carlus being attacked but the other 2 may not exist.
