8-4 is a lock

This may not be thread worthy, but with all the negatiVOLty around here I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents.

Tennessee looked sloppy today at times. We didn't score as many points as we wanted and our defense gave up more first downs than was ideal.

That said, don't forget that we nearly beat Bama in Tuscaloosa, had Oklahoma against the ropes, and barely lost to Florida in the swamp. Those three teams are in playoff contention.

Tennessee is a GOOD football team. Vandy and Missouri are NOT. We were simply not psyched up to play this game today and NT was completely amped up for their game in Neyland. We shut them out whilst sleepwalking.

Relax everybody! We will be 8-4 and sitting pretty in a couple of weeks when the bowl selections happen. My guess is that we'll be playing somewhere warm!

I hope you're right but Mizzou and Vandy both have outstanding defenses and thats something that has plagued Dobbs and company.

It ain't over til it's over! However, both Missouri and Vandy have good defenses but as long as the Vols put up 24-27 on each we'll win. We'll hold each team to no more than 14-17.

look at the records of mizzou(4-5) and Vandy(4-6), looks like sure wins right ? Well two things concern me.
1. Mizzou and Vandy both play good defense (top 20 defense).
2. Where the team's mindset is now after two sluggish games.

I don't think its a lock.

We will be ready for Mizzou. Vandy scares me more than Mizzou. 11 points will beat Mizzou; their O is horrid.

I'm the reverse. I think Mizzou will beat us, they have the better D-line . Vandy will Vandy against us.
