77 yards Rushing

Having Abernathy back was huge.

Even if you'd told me before the game that we will win, I'd still have bet UK would rush for 200 on us.

Instead we outrush them by 138....unreal. After watching teams manhandle us I'd have never dreamed it. I hope the O line has turned some kind of a corner and shows consistency. If they keep playing like they did last night, there's no reason we can't win out

And that #11 ranking is/was a complete JOKE. Shouldn’t have been near that high. I would have placed them 15th or lower....this season for them has been LUCK. Betcha they don’t repeat this next year...

They start mostly seniors so no they will not be as good.

Their offense was bad because we made it look bad.

Regarding CJP, I bet he is STILL in that earhole of that helmet yelling about that lateral.

The UK offense has been bad since the 2nd half of the SC game. That's when defenses decided to make their QB win games through the air, and he hasn't been able to do so consistently (and I am surprised Eddie Gran hasn't used him as a runner more as UT did with Dobbs while he was developing as a passer)

Mizzou and Vandy both will be more of a challenge for the defense because neither are one-dimensional.

I agree about CJP; he is likely still preaching to the entire team about situational awareness after Osborne's attempted lateral.

With their roster decimated by graduation (15 seniors who start or play a lot), there's also no way Snell comes back to endure a Guarantano-style pounding next year. He leaves early for sure.

not saying the lateral was smart, but, just hope Coach Pruitt doesn't go all "Woody Hays" on us...doing it and overdoing it can be extremely different methods of coaching...:D

GO VOLS!

Meh. If he was going to go Woody Hayes he would have done it when Osborne first came to the sideline and CJP's blood pressure was still spiking. He didn't.

Tell you what I learned, IF I ever go to play for Tennessee, intercept a pass and lateral it backwards, I am going to hide out on the opposing teams sideline.

Really a funny play. (only because nothing on the field came of it)
Pruitt's reaction reminded me of a father and son scene down to the son turning away and being grabed by the arm. (I'am not finished!!) The reaction of the official when Pruitt was talking about it to him was like "laughingly, I know what you mean).
Loved the whole scene from interception to his post game commit to the woman asking the questions at field side. He looked like he had swallowed a rotten egg...

I think that's right, Ivan.

The saving grace for us (fingers crossed) is that our young DBs have had most of a season to grow into SEC-caliber backs. We might be ready for the passing attacks of Kyle Shurmur and Drew Locke now--we weren't at the outset of this campaign.

And if our DBs are stout enough to hold serve against those fellas in man coverage, that gives our front seven more opportunity to stop the run and get after the QB.

Maybe...just maybe...we can pull out a win or two in the games that remain.

No They lose a lot of players. When you win in the SEC you kind of earn a high ranking. Kentucky doesn't have a great offense, one dimensional. Their defense however has been pretty solid and look how we took care of that. Missouri has a balance that I am a little worried about. We will see.

Had he completed the handoff the DB could have had a nice return... not defending his decision but it almost worked.
You had the game won...take the win! Aight?

I am not sure we are ready for UM’s passing attack. UK receivers were wide open on several plays today. Not all on every play but it takes only one to be open for a good QB . If the front 7 put on the pressure like they did against UK it will help. I think MO is a tougher matchup for us than UK.

Tennessee's defense got after it for four full quarters, something new and amazing for this group. They'll need it again next week, but now we've seen them do it.
