This was a very good segment, basically the football program is the back bone of the university. When the football team wins donors give more money for the university. Football pays the bills and for the players and coaches its a full time job and they don't get a dime (the players don't). And the reporter said it plainly that the most important Hire at the university is THE FOOTBALL COACH!! Also the Michgan AD said its a constant arms race to stay competitive in college football.
I admire Michigans AD, he's a former UM player and Dominos pizza CEO. He know what UM football means to the university, the donors and the people. And he knows what it takes to run a multi million dollar money making machine.
I'd be the same way when I get nervous or something's got me tore up I don't eat. Rightfully so for him because in he business your one fake punt away from being jobless at anytime. Real talk
