Enough to get Chris Peterson to Knoxville if Dooley is fired after next year?

I know he just signed an extension and all but still. I'd go for it.

Why not just tell Saban we will match what Bama pays, and double it if he wins a national championship within two years?

Seriously, it's a lot of money.. But we're gonna have to pay our way out of this. Saban makes 5.. Who wouldn't take the job making a million more than Satan? Err, I mean Saban.

What on earth makes you think Peterson can get it done at a big school in the best conference in the nation?

IMHO, the reason Peterson hasn't taken a bigger job is because he knows he would be completely out of his element at a big BCS school.

This is beyond stupid

I will get torched, but here it goes . . .

Watch the Seattle Seahawks have another sub .500 season and Pete Carroll will be back on the market. The NCAA is done with him and he would be available. He is NOT another Lane Kiffen.

Sorry, thought Peterson was making $4 mill at Boise. Turns out its only 2.

Still, I say we go out and pay someone more than what Saban is making. If its Peterson or someone else elite.

Chris Peterson is overrated. The only reason he wins so much is because Idaho is a recruiting gold mine.

Actually I like Pete Carroll. Not sure that he will move in-land but a name to remember. I don't think he is good enough to have any success with the SeaHawks

There are some people for whom money is not their primary motivation in life and Peterson (sp?) seems to be one of them. He likes it in Boise and he feels he already makes as much or more money than he will ever need. He has already turned down multiple offers in the last few years. He is not going to be swayed by any offer we would make to come here. Stop wasting your time considering it.

If so, it's best to do it real late on Saturday night. They got a lot of cash, banks are closed...etc. (so I hear)...imho
