Does that really translate into Gruden pay? I understand you have some boosters that will supplement what UT cant. Although if he is paid in the 4 mil a year or even close then your looking at 7-8 mil total including assistants. We are still looking at having to pay the buyout to Chaney and Sunseri to boot.

The thing is the AD funds most athletic functions, renovations, etc. but all these programs depend on boosters...this is all common knowledge. However, we have some very wealthy, prominent boosters. Thunder Thorton, Haslams, Donnie Smith, Ergen, etc. If we want something done, or want somebody there will be NO SHORTAGE of money.

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on what our normal AD Dept money is yearly? Maybe it would make more sense to me on if the extra 6 Mil is enough to actually get Gruden or not.

Net worth and AV cash are two total different monsters. Dont get me wrong they probably could drop a few mil and it be no big deal. Although we are talking about 5 Mil on DD, 1 Mil on JC, SS was another 2. something. I am pretty sure the only coaches retained are going to be Graham and Pittman maybe not even them. Yes the coaches have options on being rehired so the buyouts may not be that bad. Althought I think in total we are looking at a min of 7 mil to buyout the staff we had. If it is indeed Gruden. I am not sure of his buyout that will also be a factor. I dont think I have seen a name yet that wasn't either a current coach or someone under some type of contract. That is the reason I am getting down to the fact that 6 Mil yearly addition isnt really as much as we would like to think it is. I am not sure we are looking at Gruden type of money for a coach. I hope we are but not sure that we are.
