Game on Sunday, April 29th at 3:30 est. on ABC.

Lakers took season series 3-1. Close games, and Denver is ALWAYS a team that scares me.. but I believe if we run the ball through the post we will win in five. I think that LA will win both home games, Denver will win one when they go back home, but LA will win game four and take control of the series heading back to LA.

Gonna be a hell of a ride though. GO LAKERS!!!

to all the haters who had the Nuggets taking the Lakers, or the Lakers having to play 7 to win.. FOR REAL? Like I said, if we run the ball through the post there is NO CHANCE for Denver. Bynum is a titan. Dude is unreal. Pair that with Gasol and the best closer in the game? C'mon man. Unfair.

Still stand by it, Lakers in 5.

The way you talk about them, they should be a shoe-in for the title. As long as they keep the ball going through Pau and Bynum they have a chance to beat anybody. As soon as Kobe starts thinking he's "the closer" and ball hogs, they are going to be in trouble, Russel Westbrook style.

I can agree with this, if the Lakers play defense like they did earlier in the season and somehow temper Kobe's shot selection and allow Gasol/Bynum to take the same amount of shots as Kobe does, they would be a dangerous team.

Playoff Kobe is a different beast, we all know he is taking 20-25 shots a night, some times for the good, some times for the bad.

I don't know what else they can do, losing Ron Ron and Hill leaves them dangerously thin with a physical post presence.

Well, fortunately for them they still have Gasol/Bynum and it's nt as if Denver has an elite frontline to begin with, they are a finesse team.

Seems fine enough, but if they manage to wrap up the series early, they'll still be without Ron Ron and possibly Hill for the first part against OKC/Dallas. Not too promising there.

But.. he is the closer? With a minute left in the game who do you think they will go to. He'll close, whether its by passing or hitting a game winner. Done it too many times. Kobe does what is necessary these days. As long as Pau and Bynum touch the ball we will be fine.

And as far as RW goes, I'm sure hell find a way to ruin it in OKC. Love Durant, but RW and him WILL NOT co-exist on this team for much longer.

The closer went 1/6 yesterday in the last 8 minutes when he was on fire the rest of the game. They were up by 7 when he came out of the game. They were up by 12 when he came back. Then he went 1/6 with 3 fouls and they barely won by 4.

During Kobe's career his Lakers have been the highest scoring team in the NBA. When it comes to 4th quarter scoring, the Lakers are at league average. The 4th quarter is when Kobe takes over. That's when their scoring numbers decline.

You still need him though. They played good a few of those last games where Kobe was sitting.. but then the other games they got TRUCKED when they didn't have their go to guy. So I agree with you somewhat, but disagree somewhat too lol.

Kobe has the potential to be the best player on the floor every night. He also has the potential to hurt his team. Whether he is on, or totally off, he's probably taking 20 shots.

He is so amazing, but his shot selection is horrible.

Well, regardless of his selection, he's proven he can hit it straight up, fading away, or after someone bumps him for an and 1. You have to take the good with the bad, and there has been alot more GOOD than bad. You think this team would actually have a chance with no KB24 on the roster? No way in hell. Those guys look to him in about ever aspect on the floor. He is their general. Could he be smarter about shot selection? Sure he could. In the last five minutes of the game last night, could he have went to the post and let the bigs get nasty? He should have.. BUT, he is one of the best to ever play for a reason. Like I said, he'll do what is necessary to win.

Also look at it this way. They put McGhee on Bynum in the last 8 min or so last night, and Bynum struggled for whatever reason. McGhee blocked him twice, and Bynum kinda became a non-factor. So obviously KB is gonna pick up the slack there. I don't think that will be the issue night in and night out. If we take game one in Denver the series is over regardless, and these guys can get some rest. With the possibility of seeing the Thunder and Spurs.. we need it lol.

I actually think beating denver in six games would be a better scenario for la than in four or five. Will put artest back earlier next series.
