5 SEC teams have given up more sacks

UT ranks 9th in the SEC for sacks given up.

Tennessee ranks ninth in SEC for sacks given up

If you go by avg. sacks per game, there are technically only 3 teams who have given up moe sacks peer game. Ark. and Aub. have each given up 16 sacks total, while UT has given up 14 total, but UT has only played 7 games while those 2 have played 8 games, so UT, Ark., and Aub. each allow 2 sacks per game.

JG currently has -50 rushing yards on the season. He's only ended a single game with positive rushing yards, UTEP.

Pass pressure is a problem, but it's not as big of a problem as negative runs.

This is the only team I've ever watched consistently lose 4 and 5 yards on runs between the tackles.

That should virtually never happen. Seems we do it a few times a game.

I know it's beating a dead horse, but if I was Pruitt I tell Helton"you run that dam ball up the middle one more time on first down we fixing go to waffle house handle this"😂😂.All seriousness we be better off spiking it not like we're gonna get any yards.I get running but try get creative pounding it into the best dlines n football over n over makes no sense with our line.

The only running plays that have worked have been jet sweeps left or right. The run up the middle is to obvious as we always run it on first down. I personally think this offense is better with sweeps, screen passes, slants., and down the field when we have short yardage for a first down. When we get in 3rd and long QB is in danger. Need a lot more play action fake to the runner on first and second and short or long pass down the field.

I've noticed we get pounded in the first quarter and improve as the game goes along. We need every guy to block somebody or at least touch them to many whiffs and non contact on linemen and linebackers.

Not a great stat especially when you realize we have less passing attempts than everyone but Kentucky
That’s what I was thinking when looking at the stats. They need to shows sacks relative to pass attempts. Sacks per game is meaningless. One of the service academies probably leads the nation in sacks allowed every year.

I have heard and read a few times that it's about establishing our playing style. Pruitt wants us to be physical enough to run up the gut even when the defense knows we are running. It's really the only reason I can understand why we do it on almost every 1st down. Repetition makes you better but the line has to at least hold the defense at the LOS for it to pickup a couple of yards.

Because our best run blocking Mauler is having to play left tackle
