People worried about our reputation? What that we suck? We do suck. The last 20 years is about the worst time of vol football ever or any program for that matter... Especially if you look at how much $ we spent. Kinda like the Washing Redsk…uh I mean Club.

I agree that fans should have quit throwing stuff after the initial surge from frustration. Maybe 5 minutes and that’s enough. The rest of the time it was just idiots.

However I have no problem with the first five minutes of throwing trash. I wish I could have been there to hurl a piece of trash to vent about the last 20 years. Any real football person is going give the vol fans the benefit this time. Let’s just not let it happen anymore.

I consider myself A real football person and whether it was the first 5 minutes( ridiculous statement) or the last 5 minutes throwing crap on the field was wrong. So if you lose it’s ok for you to react like an idiot? For example if you golf do you hit your buddy with your driver because your ball went in the water? If you fish do you hit your buddy with the paddle because he caught a fish? Some of y’all are ridiculous with your reasoning for the actions of the idiots throwing stuff being ok.

Throwing hard objects at another person is never going to be okay or acceptable. Once that object leaves your hand, you have no control of the trajectory, or who it may hit, or the damage it may cause to them. Not everyone has the ability to hurl an object the distance needed to get to the intended target, so that object may hit an unintended victim, causing great harm or damage to whomever it strikes. I haven't attended any games since beer sales were approved in Neyland, but I have attended games where hard liquor was brought in and the problem is how alcohol can cause the ability to reason to not be as strong as it would be if sober. I don't know that I will be attending any more games due to the beer sales, it saddens me to see the actions displayed Saturday night, and I expect it will happen again. 7:30 kickoff, tailgates with alcohol flowing freely for hours prior to kickoff, more alcohol available inside the stadium, it's just a recipe for disaster in my opinion.

In today’s world of cheap cameras, isn’t the throwing objects now an easy problem to fix? UT could install of bunch of cheap cameras pointed towards the bleachers that should allow them to identify most of the folks who throw things. Apply the appropriate consequence for such an action and publicize the results. Folks will think twice in the future when they realize there are consequences for their behaviors. JMO

What do you mean "give the vol fans the benefit this time"?

UT got hosed. No doubt in my mind one of the contenders in the conf. gets the 4 and 24 spot from the official for a first down. I'll never understand why we didn't get a scoop and score. Corral didn't "give himself up".

However, what really sucks about the whole situation is UT fans gave Kiffin satisfaction and a feather in his cap. IMO he would rather have the chaos and circus from throwing trash than getting the W. If you really want to get to Kiffin, ignore him. He's an attention whore.

Parents are going to think twice now about bringing their children. That’s what really concerns me.
