The offense put up enough production to win tonight. We let a team missing their top 2 receivers put up a ton of points and, while I respect his decision, Alontea missing tonight was huge. I look forward to seeing how Tim Banks rotates this defense in the future with such a fast pace offense obviously gassing our guys.

I suspect that a slow-footed secondary may be more of the problem than a fast paced offense.

I don’t believe all the blame should be placed on Tim Banks. They simply don’t have the bodies to play 100+ snaps a game on defense. In order to do that, they need to be 3 deep at every position, without a drop off in talent across the entire defense. The pace of the offense is great, until flopping shuts it down, and it has. Until rules are changed, it’s only going to get worse also.

We could always do like everyone else and flop when we get tired. Sorry I lost my blue font.

you think if we had Alontae and they had their 2 top receivers we might have won? Just trying to see your thought processes as I think hypotheticals are kind of funny. Really no way to prove

O’ Connell threw for 534. What do you think would’ve happened with their other two receivers? It wouldn’t have made a difference if they were in the game or not.

The secondary looked like a bunch of gnats the whole game….. especially when they tried to tackle someone…. When the tried. No way in hell Purdue’s TE should have scored on the long pass play
