The setup rankings use are, a 5 Star is supposed to equate 1st rd NFL talent, should expect ALL SEC minimumWhat is a successful career for a 4/5 star player and what would make you consider them a bust?
A five star player should be a lock to go in the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft, a four star should get drafted or possibly undrafted free agent. Anything under a 3 star that gets drafted is a diamond in the rough besides maybe lineman, seems like there always a bunch of 3 star lineman that develop over time for teams.
Stars are great for fans that follow their programs closely as we do, but it would be dumb for any coach to use the star method as a means to evaluate talent.....The best evaluators of talent rely heavily on the kids personality, competitiveness, what kind of teammate they would be, their leadership skills......along with their talent......not sure recruiting services consider those...
