Well just got done watching my Braves lose the first game of the NLDS. Hopefully they will bounce back tomorrow and “Wright” the ship to tie the series at 1 apiece. Now watching the Mariners own Justin Verlander trying to take the series lead. It really just hit me that this is only my 3rd Tennessee football game that I’ll be in attendance. Hopefully the 3rd time will be the charm and we will come out and whoop Bama. Man what a big game to be able to enjoy this Saturday. Game Day, SEC Nation, #3 vs #6, Bama….. what else could a Tennessee fan ask for.
My biggest concern for this game is that we let them intimidate us. I truly think if we go into this game confident and believing in our coaches, teammates, fans and game plan, we will come out victorious. Play hard for 4 quarters. Execute the game plan the way it was drew up. Defense needs to be ball hawks and head hunters. Offense needs to win their matchups and O-line needs to be absolute bully’s. Send a message to that Alabama defensive line telling them that it’s gonna be a long night for them. Catch Will Anderson on a blitz and someone pop him right up under the chin and make him regret ever stepping foot into that backfield. Hooker show up and show Bryce Young that their is a new heisman winner this year. Jabari and Wright teach Gibbs what running the ball in the SEC looks like. Tillman, Hyatt, McCoy, Keyton, Fant and company dominate those DB’s and Safety’s. Make the 50/50 balls not so 50/50. Trust that Heupel has had this games circled. Alabama is vulnerable this year and they know it. They know they actually have to think about how to beat Tennessee this year. Tennessee needs to come out and drive the field on them and make them play catch up all night long. Man I’m excited. Biggest game in years and years. Glad I get to be a part of it Lord willing. Let’s show up and do our part and make Neyland loud. Give them trouble hearing the play. Make them play behind the chains all night long. Is it Saturday yet!?!?!? GO VOLS!!!!!!

We could win…we could lose…but one thing I know is we will not go out there intimidated by the stage, national exposure, or the team on the other side of the ball.
And of that I am 100% positive.
I like that positivity.
