Sorry to beat a dead horse, but with our pursuit of so many DBs and the possible move to a 4-2-5 defensive scheme, I have some questions about a 5 DB set:
1. How many safeties would play? - What I mean by this is would you want 3 safeties and 2 corners or vice versa?
2. Would you want to play more strong safeties to compensate for the lack of linebackers? Or is this completely situational?
3. What role would the linebackers have? - Pass rush? Run stopping?
I'm sure alot would depend upon the situation, but I'm just trying to get a feel for how players like Randolph, Martin, Lanier, Coleman, Orta, and hopefully Moore will be used.
Thanks in advance. V,B.
