Chavis had a bad rep on third downs but he was never this bad. Only 10 teams in the entire nation worse than on 3rd down defense - and that was before Florida’s 6 for 9 conversion rate today so far. If we could have made any of those stops, the halftime score might look better.

Only plus to trailing at the half is maybe the staff will actually make some halftime adjustments (as unlikely as that sounds)

It doesn't matter what down it is. Anytime Mullen needs to pick up 10 or more yards, it is automatic versus this defense. Anytime, Any down

Also, Chavis was only bad on 3rd from a defensive standpoint.....Pruitt is pathetic on 3rd down on both sides of the ball.

For the first couple years, not so much this year. Are you saying you never had any optimism on either of them?
I really didn't. Not knocking your username... Just curious.

When he was hired, I said Tennessee will never be good at football again. So far, my suspicion is proving correct.
