I know this is slow, but as of right now it seems to be the fastest I can get in my area. I'm starting to hate that I moved here. My phone stays on G network, so its a pain to even do this. Every now and then ill get E And 3 and 4g speeds but not for long. Anyway I am wondering WTf can you do with 3mbs Internet? I know most of what I use Internet for requires at least a 6mbs connection. Like netflix and PS3.

I'm thinking about just calling and telling them nm cause they can't even be here till Tuesday. Do any of Yall know a way to search for faster Internet for a certain address? As stated im stuck in G coverage so my phone is super slow surfing the net.

TIA

Just decided to Google it... I guess there's a ISP (probably DSL) called Windstream that provides 6 and 12m connections in your area.

Windstream is satellite internet. I've heard good and bad things about them. Mostly good.

Windstream is who is doing it. They said they have never actually covered this area, but would for sure be able to get 3mbs. And no on the satellite. I can only get dsl. He said he would put a note in for the Tech guy to try for higher speed. They are also the company I was with before I moved and I hated them. My net was also going off and on. Techs couldn't fix the problem. Even the guy I was talking to was having problems with their system today lol They are garbage and it seems I'm stuck with them. Grrr

BTW thanks for looking

I have cable & when I do a speed test on ps3 it maxes out at 3.1 Mbps. I run Netflix with no problem. Online gaming no problem, sometimes with 2 ps3's with one on wifi.

But are you supposed to have 6mbs? I know most only get half of what they pay for, which would put you around 3. And a 3 mbs would run at 1.5mbs

I'm not sure but seeing as how it always shows up at 3.1 Mbps I'd say it's capped.
