Great game.....but we only scored 7 in second half. I was expecting or hoping for 50 +! This game was not as close as the score!:whistling:

*sidenote why did EA stay in the game so long?

VOLS defense needed to play a full game.....taking EA out would have given the impression the game was over and may have caused the D to lose the MO. Don't believe many of us would feel the same about this win if we had given up a late score.

Fulmer was trying to get Ainge some more points, to boost his confidence and move up in the rankings.

IMO as bad as we have looked against good teams this season I thought our main guys needed the practice against live competition.

I think it just shows how far behind Crompton is. I've heard rumors floating that Stephens and Coleman have the same shot Crompton has next year.

Had heard that about Crompton but have heard that Stephens is the real deal.

yep. and if stephens' performance in the jv game against hargrave is any indication, I'm all for Stephens if he's the right man for the job.

Fulmer actually said he played pretty badly in that game for what its worth.

I know Cutcliffe acted impressed.

“I think Nick got better as the game went along,” assistant head coach David Cutcliffe said. “He created some plays, which I thought was outstanding, and he saw downfield. That’s what I liked. He had good vision downfield and threw the ball pretty well for the most part.”

10 of 19, 162 yds and 2 TDs, 1 Int is all i know.

The two turnovers are what Fulmer didn't like. I'm just saying that when he talked about it in his press conference, it was obvious he was unimpressed.

But I agree, I'm not yet sold on Crompton. His 2 hail mary's against LSU were not as impressive to me as they were for many people.

Cutcliffe also said that hargrave had the snap count timed at the beginning and that is what caused the early turnovers, but obviously they got that problem taken care of. I didn't see or hear anything from Fulmer about the game, regardless though, I think Stephens looks to be good. It's not like Crompton has shown anything.
