Fulmer made a statement on Gator radio down here today and said on a phone conversation that the "decimal level is something we are used to and preparing for with no cadance snaps this week in practice." CPF it is decibal, NOT decimal....:ermm:
They are raking CPF through the coals on that one this week, not a good start with the media.

Three reasons why beating Florida would be nice:

#1 It will be nice to beat them the day they get their championship rings presented to them this Saturday.

#2 It will be nice to beat them in front of 13 top high school recruit prospects coming in this Saturday for the game.
Three of the top players at their respective position will be present. You never know how a young teenager could lean to another school if they get beat. Patrick Johnson #1 CB in the land as well as Will Hill #1 athlete....what is up with Barrett Jones O-lineman from Tennessee leaning towards UF, he will be there this weekend as well. Top recruits will ultimately hurt us in the future years...it'll be nice to beat them in front of these recruits.

#3 It will be nice to beat them to break Urby's 17 game winning streak at the swamp. Last year, the media deemed his win in Knoxville as his 'signature win' at his tenure as UF coach; let's make Saturday his signature loss at home.

if he actually said, "decimal level," I'm not talking any smack for the moment...

IF he actually said decimal, so what: I'm sure he knows the difference and just misstated the word.

Besides, that would qualify him to be President.

Interesting post VnFla. Thanks for the info.

By the way, I'll give him a pass for saying decimal level. No biggie. Hope we aren't hanging our hats on that!

BTW, I'm in Winter Springs. You?

My 3 reasons

1. Get some respect back for the program so that lou (I dont give a :censored: for wat he says but still ) doesnt say tennessee is the underdog even against la lafayette

2. high time fulmer proves that he is still left with some tricks and talent in his bag to coach UT for some more time

3. Its been ages since we beat a top rank team and also to prove that preseason rank means crap (thnx to michigan and Vtech to step up on this) and expose florida

GO VOLS!!!

Also, nobody is giving us a chance to win.

all the radio down here is Gatro-based and Gator-biased...
all those on VN will tell you from the radio to the newspapers, they are too prideful to give us even 21 points. I have not heard one prediction that has UT scoring more than 20 points in the contest.

Not to compare Fulmer to a two-year-old.....BUT, I have a two-year-old whose speaking vocabulary is way ahead of what his mouth can actually produce consistently, so I've actually been thinking about things like this a lot lately. At normal speaking speed, an M and a B are basically the same sound; there's just a little explosion added in by the lower lip when you say a B. That sound plus the flattening out of everything by phone-over-radio probably made it sound like he said "decimal." I do not believe that our coach is a supergenius or anything, but I'm sure he knows the difference between decimal and decibel.

I bet Fulmer can get words like disgusting and disappear and harmonica out better than the boy can, at least. Radio or not.

reason to beat fla...they are in the east and beating them would help get us to atlanta...isn't that the biggest thing?

I was on a cruise in july with Urban Meyer and a lot of the boosters, talked to a few of them and they were very nice people. Only saw Urban once on top deck about 10:30 at night, was hoping to take a pic of him and maybe talk to him but his security people said if he wanted to talk to anyone he would approach you....this is why we wont beat florida, if coach fulmer was on the ship he would talk to anyone as long as they were close to the buffet line...Urban thinking football.....Fulmer thinking chicken on a stick.....

I live in Jacksonville and I can't wait for this weekend's game! I believe we are going to beat the Gators in a hard fought but high scoring game. I'll be there cheering our Vols on to victory!:dance2:
