I think the fake punt was a call that the punter made. He’s coached to run for a 1st down if he sees the defense overload on one side. That’s what Rutgers did, so the punter ran. The fact that Schiano got all offended by making a bad play call that allowed a 1st down on a punt play is what’s funny.
