Unreal how much of a UT bloodbath this is everyday. Clay claiming that 19 games in Dooley is crap and not the answer. Said 9 to 10 wins was the expectation this year. Says you get what you pay for and that's what we get with Dooley. Still making fun of us as we speak.

Clay is Tennessee's Finebaum. He exists to make you mad so that you call in and listen. If you don't like him don't listen.

I'm a fan of the show, but you have to take Clay with a grain of salt. He acts the way he does because that's how he pays his bills. Brent Dougherty and Chad Withrow call him out on his crap all the time.

Who expected us to win 9 or 10 games? Seriously? I remember most people predicting 6 or 7 wins.

Althought I think it would have been possible if we didn't have any of the major injuries we have had.

I wouldn't be surprised if Clay doesn't actually believe anything of what he is saying. Stoking the fires of a coaching controversy gets ratings. No one in their right mind thought we would win 9 or 10 games.

I think it's foolish for Clay to already be convinced that Dooley won't work out at UT, but it is equally foolish of those that are convinced that Dooley is the answer and can't fail.

He's getting the only thing he cares about and that is publicity. I don't get to listen to the show so I hope some of you are writing down some of his comments so you can come back next year and expose him on his own show.

Lol they just took my call at the end of the show.... I owned him with a stat about our recruiting/attrition/and bare cupboard

His reply.... I guess that depends on how you define bare cupboard and then he commenced to cut me off and not give me another word

Either way, he's what we neen right now. He's reloading our depth chart and establishing a greater level of discipline in our program. Next step, wins.

Nice. Next time you call in you should remind him that he claimed Derek Dooley wouldn't finish in the Top 20 nationally, and Top 8 in the SEC recruiting last year. And that James Franklin would recruit better than Dooley this year.

I expect you'll have the same results.

Heard that. Clay really contradicted everything he's been saying all day when he said "they only beat UK and Vandy and that's what you would except."

I agree with this post. I am behind Dooley "a hunerd" percent (Jerry froms Bulls Gap reference) and I actually wanted them to hire him once I saw his background and then having LSU fans upset that we were after him because they wanted him after Miles is gone.

However I'm not naive enough to believe that he automatically succeed. If he doesn't, I will feel just like I did when we rightly got rid of Fulmer, and that is that I like him but it was time for a change.

Funny, so many people are inclined to frown upon the behavior of uhhhh...."working girls" but are inclined to give a pass to others who are always selling but don't actually mean what they say and don't deliver the product they advertise.
When I was younger I never imagined that sportswriters/talkers would turn into thousands of Jerry Springers. A mile wide and an inch deep.

Clay is garbage. He can be funny at times but his opinions about the program are terrible. 9 to 10 wins? That is homerism at its peak. We are younger than a year ago in terms of upper classmen playing. It will only get worse after this weekend. Everybody has been thinking about 2012 as the big break through year but we all got caught up in Bray's success and the talented group of freshman from a year ago and forgot about all our other issues. 8 wins would be a good season if we were healthy, we should still get 6 now with the injuries. I thought the UGA game was terrible coaching by Dooley but it is not enough to get him fired. I would like to have known what Clay was expecting against LSU. I predicted a 48-14 blowout which is why I can deal with the teams current state better than he can.
