The winner of the SEC plays in the Sugar Bowl. Since they have added the championship game, the 4 big bowls (Sugar, Rose, Orange and Tostitos) are BCS bowls.. Before the addition of the Championship game last year, the winner of the SEC went to the Sugar bowl unless it was the championship bowl that year. Then the number 1 and 2 in the BCS rankings played that bowl game for the championship.

With Tebow's shoulder in bad shape, UF loses to Vandy and USC---UGA loses to Auburn and UT wins the East, and beats lsu in the title game in atlanta. LSU has a bunch of lucky wins this year---this luck will run out against UT.

Has anyone heard anything about Tebow's should??? If he had a severe bruise last week it must be really bad this week, because the Dawgs took him down on that right shoulder every time...:cray:

I think it has been changed, but didn't a three way tie happen 3 0r 4 years ago and a committee selected the team?

No, it came down to a threeway tie, and the team ranked highest in the BCS went to the SEC CG (Georgia). That can't happen this year because of the wins that have already happened.

should I be confused? doesn't the SECCG winner play in the BCS by rule?

No, you shouldn't.

The Winner of the SEC qualifies for a BCS Bowl. If they are 1 or 2, they qualify for the BCS Championship. If they do not qualify for that, they are contracted to the Sugar Bowl. Because of the selection order, Hawaii (an at-large team that the BCS Bowls would be forced to take if they win out) would be selected by the last bowl to pick this year, which is the Sugar, so the SEC Champ would play Hawaii.

Other Tie-Ins:
Rose (Big Ten Champ vs. Pac10 Champ)
Fiesta (Big 12 Champ)
Orange (ACC Champ) (Big East Champ Usually Goes Here, But Not Contractually Obligated To)

It is mathematically possible for tennessee to lose another game and still go to the seccg. However they really need to win all the games. We dont want to have to rely on the other teams to lose games.
